Meet Jen

Hello & welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Jen Knox, an Apex resident, local real estate expert, and the face behind Live Love Apex. I started this website as a personal love project to my charming town and all who live here already or plan to move to Apex.

There is so much going on in “The Peak of Good Living,” and I realized that there’s really no central spot for the people that live here (and want to live here) to learn about it all. Apex has so many places to see, events to attend, and amazing local businesses to know about… and Live Love Apex is here to make sure you don’t miss a thing! Expect to discover all the local gems, stay in the know about family-friendly events all year long, and get an inside look into the local businesses that make up the heart and soul of our special town.

If you’ve come to this page to learn more about me, then I can tell you that I am a mom to one amazing teenager named Charlie and two wild westies, Dash and Skye. I work in real estate with Keller Williams Preferred Realty, which means I get to explore Apex’s neighborhoods all day too. I’ve lived in the area since 1999, attended UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and began my career as an elementary teacher here in Wake County. I saw an opportunity to make the leap from inside the classroom to out into the community I love… so in 2016, that’s exactly what I did! I am thrilled to now spend each day impacting my clients’ lives by assisting them in making the most educated decisions in our complex real estate market.

In my free time, you can usually find me cheering on Charlie at the basketball court or sitting next to him as we cheer on the Tarheels together in Chapel Hill! I also love to get out and explore everything in and around Apex, spend time near just about any body of water (preferably with a good book), and have never met a DIY project I didn’t love.
